Swing driveway gates
Custom automatic swing gates
Gateworld designs, makes and installs automatic swing gates for Perth homes and businesses. With more than 15 years in the industry, we build each gate to suit the property, so it protects your home and looks right at the front of it.
A swing gate opens like a pair of doors, into the property or out towards the street. It suits level driveways with room for the gate to open and gives a strong, formal entrance on wider frontages. We build single and double swing gates, and each leaf has its own motor arm.
- Single or double leaf
- Opens inwards or outwards
- Built in any style and powder-coat colour
- Keypad, intercom and app control available

Included as standard
Every swing gate we automate comes with
Marine grade aluminium
Frames and infills are marine grade aluminium, pretreated and then powder-coated in the colour you choose, so they stand up to WA conditions.
Proven motors
We fit motors from established brands that have been on the market for over 30 years, sized to the weight and width of your gate.
Safety beams
Every gate we automate has safety beams. If a car, person or object is in the gateway, the gate stops or opens again.
Battery backup
The motor has a battery backup, so the gate keeps opening and closing when the power goes out.
Long range remotes
Every system comes with long range remotes. You can add a keypad, an intercom or app control.
Mains or solar power
We connect the gate to mains power, or fit a solar panel where running a cable to the gate is difficult.
Built for Perth blocks
Swing gates for villas, units and family homes
Demand for automatic swing gates in Perth has grown as more rear units, villas and smaller blocks have been built. We have developed a quality swing gate system that is affordable, reliable and made to handle the harsh Australian climate.
Every property is different, so every gate is made to measure. Whether you need a single gate for a narrow drive or a double gate for a wide frontage, we will recommend the right size, hinge position and motor for your space and budget.
Worth knowing: a swing gate needs clear, fairly level ground in the area the gate opens across. If your driveway rises behind the gate, an automatic sliding gate is usually the better choice.

Is a swing gate right for you?
Where swing gates work best
Narrow frontages
A swing gate needs no run-back space beside the opening, so it suits frontages with a wall or garden close to the drive.
Street appeal
Double swing gates make a balanced, formal entrance on character homes and wide blocks.
Remote access
Open the gate from the car, or add a keypad, intercom or app for visitors.
Quiet operation
Modern motor arms open and close smoothly with little noise.

FAQs
Swing gate questions

Should my swing gate open in or out?
Most swing gates open into the property. If your driveway rises behind the gate, or there is not enough room inside, the gate can open outwards as long as it does not swing over the footpath. We look at this at the quote.
Are quotes free?
Yes. We come to your property, measure up and talk through the options with you, then send you a quote. There is no charge for the visit.
How long does it take?
We aim to have a new gate installed around six weeks from when you place your order. The installation itself usually takes a few days, depending on the size of the job. We give you a timeline with your quote.
What are your gates made from?
Our gates are made from marine grade aluminium that is pretreated and then powder-coated in your choice of colour. We also work with steel where a job calls for it.
Will my gate work in a power outage?
Yes. Our gate motors have a battery backup, so the gate keeps opening and closing during a power cut.
Can I add a keypad, intercom or app control?
Yes. Every automatic gate comes with long range remotes, and you can add a keypad, an intercom or smartphone control. These can be fitted at installation or added later.
Can you automate my existing gate?
In most cases, yes. We can fit a motor to an existing swing or sliding gate if the gate, its hinges or track, and its posts are in good condition. We check this at the free on-site quote.
Do your gates come with a warranty?
Yes. Our gates come with a warranty on the materials and on the automation system. The terms depend on the gate and motor you choose, and we go through them with you at the quote.
Do you service and repair gates?
Yes. We maintain and repair the gates we install and other automatic gates, including all major motor brands. Regular servicing keeps a gate running smoothly and helps avoid bigger repair bills later.
What are your payment terms?
We take a deposit to start the job, and the balance is due when the installation is finished.
